EPW - Louis Duchêne & Fils, enormous quarter-hour repeating coach watch, 139mm, massive silver OF original case pierced for sound transmission and with pull cord at 6 for repeat activation, white enamel dial with winding aperture left of center, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, signed gilt locking dust-cap, s#95750. Comes with a key. Gross weight of assembled watch 1078.7 dwt (1677.7 g). A very impressive piece of enormous scale, weighing well over 50 troy ounces.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, scattered fine scratches and some mild haze to gilt tone, patch of scratching at edge of main plate right of signature, dust-cap with some overall haze and one spot of discoloration; dial with some faint hls and fine scratches, signs of very well executed restoration at some perimeter areas; fine hands with finish loss and some oxide; case shows light wear, an attractive overall patina with some splotches of darker color, shallow denting to rear, some dings to bezel, reduced engraving detail; tight bow; good domed glass crystal with small finish imperfection at left perimeter.
